Revitalizing Yourself With Micro Breaks and Forest Bathing

Forest bathing, started in Japan in the 1990’s, is the practice of taking a short, leisurely visit to a forest for health benefits. However, if you are busy, unable to make the time to walk in the forest, there is research showing that taking micro breaks of 40 seconds, and simply looking at nature decreases mistakes and improves productivity. This week I hope you will give yourself time to tune into nature with the following videos. Relax and enjoy your connection to nature and yourself.

    So great to hear that for even 40 seconds of looking out into nature we are receiving benefit!! It must be why I like to have my office desk RIGHT near the window. I am always looking out over some kind of nature throughout my day. Great post, sharing!!

      Often our bodies and spirits know what we need… Intuitively we are drawn to nature for balance, restoration and to enliven us. Clearly you have tuned in to that need and are honoring it. Beautiful!

    I love these tips of revitalizing yourself with micro breaks in nature. Just what this Busy Professional, Real-Life Superwoman needs. My favorite ways to quickly nourish my soul with nature are having lots of plants in my office and living room, walking outside between clients for about 3-4 minutes, standing outside barefoot for one minute, watching the sunrise when working the night shift and hugging a tree.
    Thanks for these reminders. After writing these down I realize I haven’t done them in awhile.
